Jennings recently attended one of our August open training sessions where she caught the attention of the Management with her dazzling pace and movement. Jennings boasts an impressive footballing CV having been a former member of the Yeovil Town Ladies squad that made it to the WSL winning numerous cups and leagues along the way before the side sadly folded.

29-year-old Jennings made her debut in Wednesday night’s friendly against SGS College where she banked 72 minutes into her legs impressing on both flanks and keeping in balls that looked all but lost. Following a move to Bristol the winger spent last season at Bradley Stoke Town Ladies where she made thirteen appearances, scoring three goals before making the move across to The Stoke Gifford Stadium for the 2023/24 season.

First Team Manager James Eveleigh was full of praise when asked about his latest signing “Leah instantly impressed us when she attended her open training session with us but not just with her obvious talent and ability but with her coachability and effort. I think I have said so many times before but being coachable and approachable as a player is actually more important than talent and the way Leah has come into the group and settled in quickly and taking on board feedback is just what we are looking for in a player”

Eveleigh continued “On Wednesday I was really pleased to see her on the pitch and she didn’t disappoint. She didn’t stop running all night and chasing down what seemed like lost caused balls and delivering fantastic cross into the box that will cause many a defence issues this season. We are delighted to have her on board and I cant wait to watch her thrive in an Olveston shirt.”
