SGS Olveston United Women are delighted to confirm their third signing of the summer with the arrival of Goalkeeper Laura Kwiatkowska.
Laura, who was part of AFC Stoneham Ladies last season in Southampton, where she has been attending Uni, came along to one of our summer trials and showed great promise between the sticks. After being invited back to train with the squad during their early pre-season preparations Laura has continued to demonstrate her commitment and shown a real hunger to develop and has been rewarded with an offer which we are delighted she has accepted.
18 year old Laura, will add competition to the existing club goalkeepers and adds depth to an area of the team that has been lacking in previous seasons.
First Team Assistant Manager and Goalkeeping coach Mark Butt said "Last season across both squads we had two very accomplished goalkeepers at the top of their game, but as we head to the next level of the football pyramid with our first team we felt it was important to add some competition to that area of the squad and we believe the added competition will only continue to raise the high goalkeeping standards already in place here. I am looking forward to working with Laura to nurture the raw talent she undoubtedly has”
Welcome Laura!
